-The teacher will upload it to the blog.

2- Do one of your partners’ questionnaire (5%).

- Comment on the blog entry. Choose your google account (If you don't have one, use the option "Anonimous" but don't forget to write your name!)

3. Project (10%).

You have different options. CHOOSE ONE. You have to upload them to the blog (post link).

CREATE A BOOK TRAILER

You can use Animoto to create  your videos. Any other video app you know is okay. You could even do a PowerPoint presentation. It's up to you.

Your book trailer needs to include meaningful quotes and a book cover

You are SELLING the book, so you have to be PERSUASIVE and CONVINCE the rest of your partners to read your book.

CREATE A BOOK SUMMARY

Your book summary needs to include both pictures and text. You can use the webpage STORYBIRD. It is very simple.

TRANSFORM THE BOOK INTO A COMICSTRIP

You can choose one chapter or your favouirte scene and transform it into a comicstrip. For this, you can use the webpage MAKEBELIEFS

If you are a good painter, you can do it manually and hand it in to the teacher.

WRITE A DIARY

Write a diary that one of the story’s main characters. It can take place before the story, during the story, or after the story.  Remember that the character’s thoughts and feelings are very important in a diary.

Again, the diary can be done using a computer (With Microsoft Word or whatever you want) or handwritten.

TURN YOUR BOOK INTO A MOVIE.(Not valid for “Rain Man” and “Free Willy”)

Imagine that you are the author of the book you have just read. Suddenly the book becomes a best seller. Write a letter to a movie producer trying to get that person interested in making your book into a movie. Explain why the story, characters, conflicts, etc., would make a good film. Suggest a filming location and the actors to play the various roles.

Leave comments on your partners’ projects.

Give your personal opinion. ask them questions. Collaborate! The more you interact, the higher your grade will be.

IMPROVE YOUR GRADE.

APART FROM YOUR READING ASSIGNMENT, YOU CAN UPLOAD SOME REVIEWS OF YOUR FAVOURITE BOOKS TO ENCOURAGE YOUR CLASSMATES TO READ THEM.You can do this by posting on the correct section of the blog. The teacher will change your comment to a post so that everyone can see it.
